SELFIES 4 CINNAMON

This was my 3rd year event for University that myself and two others produced in aid of The Cinnamon Trust.

The Cinnamon Trust is the only national charity that specialises in providing support for the elderly and terminally ill when they can no longer care for their pets on their own. Selfies for Cinnamon (S4C) is a competition between volunteers/members of The Cinnamon Trust (CT) and the public. S4C was created by a team of Creative Event Management (CEM) third year students; Isabel Cude, Laonni Easterbrook and Jade Dando. The competition is asking the nation to send in selfies of themselves and their pets to create awareness and funds for The Cinnamon Trust.

Entries will be primarily received through S4C’s e-mail (selfies4cinnamon@outlook.com) and filtered into four categories; volunteers, long term fosterers, the public and the most comical selfie. It is free to enter, however, there is an option to donate directly to the trust online via BT fundraiser and Facebook.

The competition launched on the 28th of February 2019 and will close on the 31st of March 2019, the selfies that were sent in will then be judged by a panel consisting of the trust’s CEO and Founder Averil Jarvis MBE, The Poldarvis Sanctuary Manager, Emma Gibbon, The CEM Course Leader, Mathew Kirby and The Cinnamon Trust’s Volunteer of the Year, Lauren Portnall.

The 1st, 2ndand 3rd place of each category will be decided by the judges which will lead to the total 12 winning selfies being exhibited and unveiled at the Selfies for Cinnamon event on Saturday the 6th of April, at The Hayle Easter Fair on the Harbour. At the S4C event it will exhibit and celebrate the framed winning selfies for all visitors of the fair to see, all while promoting The Cinnamon Trust. The winners will be announced via a live stream on the Selfies for Cinnamon Facebook account as well. This will enable the national audience to tune in to the event and see if they entered a winning selfie.
